About the Field of Honor
The Field of Honor is built around several core themes:
- Honoring service - military members, veterans, first responders, and community heroes
- Celebrating America's 250th Birthday
- A patriotic ceremony, rather than a memorial service
- A flyover and static display that signal celebration and recognition
- The Exchange Club of Waycross serving as the civic host
Everything about this program aligns with the purpose of the Field of Honor:
To honor heroes - living or deceased - through a patriotic display that celebrates service and sacrifice.
The Field of Honor reflects the values of service, duty, and community, honoring those who protect our freedoms. As the nation marks this historic milestone, Waycross joins communities across the country in honoring the past and inspiring future generations.
